New Stuff Created

Yep, it's been a while since I posted....please don't be mad. With three kids active in everything, crafting for me has been a little difficult. But, I am slowly getting back to it with the newly renovated craft room (that used to be the boys' bedroom). Here's what has been done...

Plenty of adventures to scrapbook from myself and the family!

At first I was a little overwhelmed with the peg board walls, but now I am LOVING THEM! I have everything in front of me and within reach! Thanks to our friends Marianne & Shawn for giving me more black vinyl which I created the cutouts with my cricut!

This is the newest page, I wanted so much to get my DD's album done before graduation....yep...I'm bad because it didn't get fully finished. So, as I am able to get pictures printed~pages get done.
Word of advice....graduation year moves at an epic pace so plan ahead!

Have a great day!

Happy Birthday!

Ever have one of those days where you start a project and it takes a lot longer than originally thought? This one was one of those. I like it, don't get me wrong but it took way longer to do than I thought it would. Maybe it's my cold or maybe the cold weather outside, but I am happy to have it done, finally!

Idea from Pinterest and the papersmooches.blogspot.com

Sympathy & Thinking of you cards

Sadly we had some deaths in our family and friends . So I worked on some cards today to mail out .

During making these cards I started thinking about long distance friends and family. That's the thinking of you card.

Stampin' Up Sheltering Tree stamp set, Paper Smooches stamps, stamp in' Up stamps, Cuddle bug embossing folders, and rhinestones were used.
Hope you have a good day!

Go to your Happy Place

Everyone should have a "Happy Place"!

This stamp set is from Paper Smooches. I love it! I finally made more than one card at a time tonight. I've seen so many say that if you take the time to cut stuff for one, you should cut more at the same time and have extras to keep on hand.

This time, for some crazy reason, after I embossed the background paper I ran it though again to flatten it. Causing it to flatten the some of the embossing! Totally a "duhhhh" moment on my part. But only I can tell! Have you ever had any moments like that while crafting???

Have a great day!

More Craft Room Fun

Working in my craft room!

Yes, you read correctly...craft room!
After 13 years, I now have a room again to hold all my stuff. And WOW, I have more than I thought.

But, couldn't resist some neat items at a friend's Stampin' Up party a few weeks ago. So in the picture you will see a few items I purchased.

Ahhh, classroom parties. Won't be ashamed to admit it...I LOVE THEM! It's the one time during the school season I can come in and see all the kids in my children's classes. Kind of like seeing the animals in their natural environment! Plus you get to chat with their teacher(s) and other parents. I will miss it when my youngest gets to that age where they don't have parties anymore. Do you get to volunteer at school?

These hearts were cut out as part of a musical game called "My Funny Valentine". I got the idea from Pinterest and a few other blogs online. The students walk in a circle from heart to heart when the music plays. When the music stops, the student on the pink heart has to do something funny. (I cut some slips of paper with ideas such as "make a funny face" or "roar like a lion" in a bag and they picked a slip).

The "Heart Lava" didn't get to be played because of time restraints. But the idea behind that was to only stand on the two (of the four) pieces of paper and move from one side of the room to the other. Only using the paper to get across.

These all were done with my Cricut, and old Hero Arts (I think, it's so old that the labeling has worn off of it), and my trusty Stampin' Up! Roll Stamp with an X's & O's wheel.

Graduation Stuff Started!

I started working on a few table decorations for my daughter's upcoming graduation. While it's still in rough stages, I hope to get a finished one soon. Not sure what to put in the first vase, anyone have any ideas? It would have to be sturdy enough to hold the pics up. I wanted to go all out, but my daughter reigned me in and said "Nothing fancy Mom" LOL

It was made with a combination of Stampin Up! stamps, Paper Smooches Stamps, Ribbon, and vases from Dollar Tree. (the paper shreds in the first pic were made with special scissors from Stampin Up! too)
