Finally back to crafting!!!

Finally the kids are keeping themselves more occupied these days, so that I could get some crafting done. Summer is here, so I hope that it happens more often.

This was definately a little more work than normal, bet well worth it! I used Varsity Letter & Sports Mania along with my Gypsy. The letters were welded onto the shadow part of the basketball.

Have I told you how much I love the Smiley Cards cart that was exclusive to the Gypsy??? I LOVE IT! So much, in fact, that I was afraid to update my Gypsy for fear of losing it! After talking to Cricut support, I finally did an upgrade. Whew!! Didn't lose it!

I like to show what my kids' schedules looked like in school. Just in the five years between my first two shows you alot!

Graduation Time!! Brought out some older embossing plates for these cards and stamps from Stampin' Up. The twins that recieved them loved them!!

Been looking at these 3D cards online for a while now and thought I would give them a try. With Stamps for backgrounds, it worked rather well.

Guys version of the same card. Had two birthdays on the same day.

 Maybe I work better under pressure, since I managed to do two graduation cards & two birthday cards in one week!?!

This was made back in September (where has time flown too??). The birthday boy loved Pirates, so I played with the PPDU cart and came up with this. The idea came from the Internet, where I don't know. I surf the net to find ideas and then mix things up or come up with twists on ideas.

I haven't been updating this site lately, but I have completed some projects. Pictures will be posted very soon. I guess I can say that if I make any New Year's Resolutions, it will be to spend more time for myself and craft more. Espically working on albums! I do have a few to do. Happy Crafting! Updated Crafts

Candy filled "Cake Box" I made for a quick birthday gift for my son's friend. Love the fact that I got to use some of my rubber stamps (from Stamping Up) and the Martha Stewart punch. The cake box was from Tags,Bags, & Boxes.

This is for my daughter's spring choir concert, but I'm not totally happy with it yet. May tweak it later on. Every have one of those ideas from your head that you cannot just get onto paper??

Happy 4th of July!

Trying to save a little money this year, I decieded that I would make my own decorations for the house. I had a bit of a challenge because being crunched for time & money I didn't get a chance to get blue cardstock and I did not have much in stock. Lots of red & white this year. I did score a good find at a store called Dollar Tree. It was a lighted white paper globe that I painted blue & red dots. I will post pics later of those.

And because of the holiday I wanted to say a big "Thank You!" to all our Military Members & Familes. Have a safe & happy 4th of July!!

Update on the UH-OH and Friskars

I will say I am really impressed with the response time of Friskars on my cutter. The very next morning I checked my e-mail and there was a message! They are going to send me out a new cutter!! That's why I have always loved their products! THANKS FRISKARS!

BFF & Big Brother

The kids, who at first I thought were busy doing other things, let me craft for a while yesterday. But, it took me four hours to complete two pages because everytime I got started "someone" needed a drink-help-arguing with their sibs-you know how it goes. Maybe someday I will win the lottery and I can build a whole addition to the house that would just be my craft room (with a door)....But, until then I will just adjust when possible. Afterall, they will grow quick and one day I will miss all the "interruptions".

My daughter & her friend have been bff's since five. Even though they are a grade apart (her birthday is late in the year, where as my daughter's is earlier) they've managed to be hooked at the hip any other time. I wanted to do something a little more "hip" since they aren't in the cute stage anymore...I got the idea from Missy's book by Jeannette Lynton. Her ideas are fab! Can't say enough about her books!

OH NO! I was cutting the vellum for the next page and the wire on my Fiskars cutter started to shred! It's not that old!!! Has anyone had any problems with these cutters??

AAAAHHH! Thank god I still have my Creative Memories 12" cutter!

Anyways, on a walk one day, My youngest walked up to his brother and started holding his hand, all on his own. It was truely an "Aww" moment. So, what did I do...capture it and scrap it of course!

Another layout from the book I mentioned above. I colored the opposite side of the vellum with chalk pencils, so that it didn't totally jump off the page. And I'm starting to experiment more with brads and stuff. A former co-worker gave me some as a Christmas gift.

I love how the chalk looks perfect on the vellum! Oh, and thanks to Missy, I've fallen in love with brads now...

I have a best friend from high school, that loves to scrapbook & craft as much as I do. Missy & I have been bouncing ideas off of each other off & on all year. So, when she crafted batting lineup markers for our sons' baseball team this year, I had to show the world how great of a job she did. And, of course, we also have a baseball float in the annual Fourth of July parade, so I'll be sure to post pics of that later, too!

The shirts were done with Sports Mania or Baseball and the lettering was with Varisty Letters

These will be used for the float on July 4th.

Water Bottles

Got creative, after seeing so many different ideas from the net. Using vinyl, my cricut expression, & a cheap water bottle from Family Dollar I made these for the kids. I will say that the sports people on Mike's was a huge challenge because of how small I cut them. So, for Krissy's I cut them bigger. Much easier. Now we won't have any trouble locating their water bottles at the end of the games!
